Background
The Weir Hotel in Walton-on-Thames is one of a number of properties owned by an independent hotel group.
They were successfully expanding their operations in the south-east with Digital Potion acting as their advisors in the digital space, directing their online marketing and presence.
Objectives
Digital Potion were initially approached to propose and design a simple website for
the first of their properties.
The budget was very small, which presented its own significant
challenges. Digital Potion believe in saving our clients' money and also helping them plan for the future. As the company wished to expand their properties, we saw that a long-term
relationship would pay dividends and hatched a very cost-effective solution that
would enbable other properties to come on board as the company expanded its
reach through the south east of England.
This is a great example of what can be achieved on very little investment and
how open source solutions can offer a lifeline to new startup businesses,
conscious of spending too much, too soon.
Results
Digital Potion provided a very cost-effective solution, providing all the
creative, technical development and infrastructure covering all of our client's
requirements.
Additionally, their application provides the perfect foundation meeting their
current demands and at the same time will smooth the road for further expansion
into online additional properties, online reservations / booking and further
marketing.
Through this case study Digital Potion proves that a lot can be done with a very
modest budget. It shows that a web strategy is affordable for all
businesses, and makes sense if the solution can grow organically alongside the
business. It also illustrates that although we are from a 'big agency'
background, we are flexible enough to provide services to small and medum-sized-businesses, too.
